Can't believe I'm 40--how did that happen? Have a life I'm very proud of--Mommy to Noah and can't believe he'll be 5 in June (2011); wife to Patrick (together 16 years this May 2011), a great husband & father; and have the amazing fortune to be able to look back on all my mistakes and see how I've grown and learned from them. I may not always succeed, but I get back up! I love to write in this blog, but don't get the chance to do it as often as I'd like. I hope people enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy typing up the random things that pop into my head!
"The Princess Bride" - truly one of the great movies in any respectable list of great movies. I was not aware that it was a book first, until very recently. There are few differences between book and movie - but one in particular stood out for me. In the movie, as Wesley is leaving to find his fortune, he leaves Buttercup with a kiss that is in the top 5 of all time greatest kisses (according to Goldman)...However, in the book - Wesley is unsure of himself, and in the awkwardness of the moment he leaves her with a simple handshake...
I have a wife that loves me more than I deserve, and a four year old daughter that is the planet to my moon. Why..am..I..still..haunted?
