Lots of Photos & Movies...

...because let's face it--that's what y'all want to see! Oh, yeah, sure, you pretend to want to know what's going on in our lives, but it's really ALL ABOUT NOAH! And I'm sorry it's been so long between posts...I truly have been running these past few weeks (in a good way! I am trying to coordinate all events for a closing on October 15, and get some marketing tools ready for a really fabulous piece of land that I have listed & am trying to sell quickly--so if y'all know of anyone who would like 38 acres, gorgeous mountain views, house that's in move-in condition, for less than $380K--less than current market value, even!--let me know!!!). I'm going to drag my planner out, get it updated with dates for the current year (I think it's stuck on 2006, but I'm not sure) and actually put in a standing date to update the blog weekly!

Enjoy the photos & the videos; our love to all!

Noah's 1st Moon Pie at the Fiddlin' Contest, Hagood Mill, Pickens Co. Sept. 2008 (Note the absence of RC; we had to make do with Pepsi...)

Noah petting a piggy, Hagood Mill. No, we don't know why this gentleman brought a pig, but Noah thought it was really cool...

This was right after I put out his alphabet mat back on the floor (we'd had to put it up for a time because of Mouse...there are some letters that just won't be the same, but hopefully she's either gotten bored of it or forgotten about it, so Noah can really enjoy it). He was showing off some karate moves (I think I'm posting some video of it, so you can see him in action). This was getting close to bedtime, so he was extra punchy & just a hoot. (Note the Spiderman socks.)

Checking out a brand-new box of crayons...he LOVES to color!! He's sporting the new sandals that my Aunt Patti sent him; they're super-cool, he loves them, and refused to take them off that first day!

At the Ripley's Aquarium in August; he's communing with the jellyfish. Overall, I think he enjoyed the visit, but after about 30 minutes, I think he was ready to call it quits. That, and he was super tired....

At one of the hands-on exhibits--he truly did love this part! There were all sorts of knobs & dials and we probably could have spent the entire time here & bypassed all the fish!

In a simulated fish bowl...

Son of a son....son of a son....son of a son of a sailor....

At Falls Park--August, I think. They've got this section where there are columns of water that shoot up at random intervals, and Noah was having a great time! Lots of other little kids running about, and it took him a bit to feel comfortable going to where the water was, but once he "got it" he was off & running!

Sorry about this...for some reason, it won't save it when I flip it, but it's such a great picture (from the same park day as the water columns) that I had to include it... Just looks like he's stalking some wild prey....

Sporting the latest in Toga wear...

Uh, okay. I don't have a good explanation for this, other than he's sporting one of our "napkins" (they're really bandanas, but I liked them for linens), wearing his favorite sandals, evidence of coloring, AND his puzzle (in his hands). I'm surprised the living room doesn't look more messed up.... It's just Noah at his most "Noah-ness"!

This boy loves shoes...here he is in Daddy's sneakers....

...and in Mommy's heels. Personally, I like the juxtaposition of casual Spiderman Under-roos with a dressy shoe. But that's just me. Oh, and the socks have camoflauge flames on them, so he's really on the cutting edge of fashion.

This was tonight. I was running the bath, when Patrick hollers at me (that's what we do here in SC...."holler") to come quick. Of course, I think someone's head is split open, but no...it's our son. Swinging from the table. Notice that his feet are NOT on the floor. *Sigh*

This is Noah, running around with a blanket on his head. No, I don't know why, but if you listen closely (yeah, I know...I'm loud, but you should be able to pick it out) he's giggling....

Noah demonstrating his karate moves... And just generally being silly...

And more silliness...

Shave & a Haircut...2 bits! And an ankh.

En Espanol, por favor...and another unidentified language...and just general cute-ness.

I know, I know...it wasn't by CHOICE I assure you!!!! As I'm sure you're aware, if one is going to eat a Moon Pie, it has to be paired with an RC cola...I think it's a law. ANYWAY, apparently, the folks in Pickens Co didn't know that, and went one step beyond, even, and just had Pepsi products. Had it not been hot, and had we not had BBQ that needed some sort of liquid to wash it down with, we'd probably have dunked our heads under the giant wheel (water-powered grist mill) and would have been sated. But, alas, there were giant signs next to the giant wheel that stated "DO NOT DUNK HEAD UNDER GIANT WHEEL--DRINK THE PEPSI!"

So you see, we had no choice.

We are Coca-Cola folks, 110%.

Unless we're eating Moon Pies, and there are RCs available.

Or unless we're at a shindig in Pickens County.

But other than that, we're Coke folks, all the way.

When he said "bye" and "I love you",I admit, I nearly cried. Right there at work. I love him too!!!!! When he spelled his name, one of my co-workers nearly fell off her chair. My response was; "Hey, I told you he was a genius!!".

It's just so amazing, watching the wheels turn & every day it's something new... His memory is just expanding. He was going to be making apple & cinnamon play-doh at school the next day; I had some Realtor stuff to do that night, and when I came home, Patrick asked me why Noah was talking about apple & cinnamon play-doh! And then the next morning, he kept talking about making the play-doh. He talks about and remembers his playmates at school... He remembers songs that they sing in school; he even makes up his OWN LYRICS ("If you're happy & you know it beep your nose [pushing on nose & saying "beep beep"]..."). Oh, and I didn't even tell y'all the story of driving down the road & realizing that he was counting. In Spanish. It's just amazing, and it's just an amazing, wonderful blessing to have him in our life!
