Noah Pics!!!

I have been awful about posting pictures...and I'm sorry! I wish I could blame it all on my newfound Realtor mogul-ness, but alas--I've just been busy doing stuff. I can't tell you what, exactly, but trust me--it's lots of stuff, and takes up most of my time.

Noah is getting bigger--the last time we were at the doctor, he weighed 19 1/2 lbs...and just two weeks before that he was 16 lbs, 14 oz.!!! I'm sure by now he's cleared 20 lbs, easy!

His hair is really coming in, unlike his teeth who still haven't made an appearance. He's still a Drool Monster, and chewing on everything (watch out putting your fingers in his mouth--he may not bite, but he will gum you, and it hurts!). He's got such a will, too--pushing you away, and he'll really lean back when you're holding him, which makes it a challenge to hang on to him. It's lots of fun when I take him out of the bath & he's all wet, slippery & squirmy!

He's started to crawl...sometimes he lapses into this army maneuver where he pulls himself forward by a bent front arm, and sometimes he's still rolling, but he can move FAST. He's terrorizing the doors on our entertainment center, and I think Mouse has only DAYS of safety left. He's trying to pull up and climb on everything (I'm really his favorite climbing post--me and whatever shirt I'm wearing at the time. I think most of my neck holes are going to be more oblong than round by the time he's done!). Mom & Dad had fun going into his room after a nap, and seeing him standing up in the crib, giving them a big ol' toothless grin!

He thinks his stuffed Grinch toy is another cat. I think it's because of the fur around the grinch's neck sorta looks like Mouse's fur (although Mouse IS a different color. She hasn't gotten into the green paint or anything. Yet.). But his reaction to the Grinch is much like his reaction to Mouse, which I think is hysterical.

We bought him a Twilight Turtle--and if you've not seen these, they are really cool. It's a turtle (duh) but has 3 lights in it, and stars cut out of his shell. The stars are projected onto the ceiling, and you can choose either amber, blue or green lights. The stars are actual constellations, and it's just so cool & soothing.

We're going to Knoxville this weekend to help celebrate birthdays, and looking forward to seeing everyone.

We're starting to fix Noah's room a bit--I've had a paint swatch stuck up on his light switchplate for about 2 months now, and I think I've decided on the colors. But in the meatime, I'm painting his ceiling fan blades--there are 4 blades, so I'm doing a blade each in red, blue, yellow and green (thus the previous reference to Mouse not being green. Yet.). They're drying right now--took more than "one coat coverage" like the paint can promised. I'm also painting a stool that was mine when I was little in the same colors. Thinking of doing that for the 3 wall-mounted shelves in his room, too.... We're just trying to do things that are kid-like, but not TOO cutesy. I'd rather not have to redo the room in a few years when he comes to me & says, "Mommy, I'm really not that into Care Bears and Unicorns anymore."

Enjoy the pictures!

I really enjoy watching him grow! He's going to be huge when he's a teenager. I wasn't kidding about starting a savings account just to feed him. :)

He's already over 20 lbs!!!! Plus, I've heard horror stories from moms of boys who say that there's no description for how much they eat when they get to be pre-teens & older. It's like all the food in your house gets sucked out into a vortex. I took a few pictures of him today, on his ELEVEN MONTH BIRTHDAY. Ack!
