Those Finns really know how to boogie...

Okay, this post has nothing to do with Noah, but I'm putting it here because it made me laugh.

From what I understand, this is a Finnish Disco Dancing instructional video. I didn't know that Disco was big in Finland, and maybe it wasn't, and maybe this is the reason.

And, thanks to LOLCATS, I can let you know that the music is by Dschinghis Khan, performing their hit song, Moskau.



And, for those who are more Noah-centric, Patrick found these on YouTube (okay, what can't you find on YouTube???)--it's Noah's favorite people (Pablo, Uniqua, Tasha, Tyrone & Austin) performing some of today's hot hits.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I think Noah has seen another snow in his lifetime, but I believe this was the first one that he's been able to really go out in it, since it's not very nice to just sit a helpless infant in some snow.

By the time we went to bed last night, it was snowing pretty good--not a blizzard, but pretty decent for Greer, I think. When we woke up, all the large bushes were weighed down with snow, and yes--ice. It was raining when we got outside, but not so hard that we couldn't bundle Noah up and let him tromp around on the back porch for a bit.

(As an update--roads are clear, Patrick had no problem getting to work; we have power, satellite--so everything is good!)

After we came in, we introduced Noah to the tradition of having hot cocoa after coming in from the cold. Of course, his was more lukewarm, but he seemed to really enjoy it, as evidenced by the stains on his shirt in one of the pictures.

One year ago...

I can't believe it. I was going through some old YouTube videos that Patrick had made of Noah, and came across these two. The one where Patrick is trying to make Noah laugh was posted on January 7, 2007 (and I can only assume the video was taken around that same time); the one of him in his doorway jumper was posted on January 10, 2007. It's just amazing to me that I can remember thinking he was getting so big, and looking at him now, and he just seems so little. He still looks like a baby in these videos, not like the little boy he is now.

Noah Sings with The Jingle Cats

The Jingle Cats, not to be confused with Jellicle Cats, is a Christmas tape that I bought years ago when I was having a bad day. I heard it, laughed incredibly hard, and had to have it. It's truly awful, but we thought--with Noah's cat-centric personality--that he may get a kick out of it.
